Bulding 3.0.1 Under Ubuntu 10.04 i386

Exactly what I have been trying to say :) (granted albeit in a roundabout way).  I've got a .deb built against the git repository code all ready to go here for the .i386 architecture.  I was told, however, in an earlier email not to build against the git repo.  However, if someone would like to test the .deb file other than myself, I would be more than happy to provide the .deb file for downloading from my end.

hello,

one of the errors you have reported in this thread is related to a
couple of recent patches that provide support for building on
recent-legacy releases of Ubuntu, Debian and probably other
distributions.

for that you need the most recent version from Git and not the 3.0.1 tarballs.
