Recompile Marble and Subsurface --> still undefined reference

It may be that I messed it up when I installed qtCreator via the 
Software Center.  Is there another Ubuntu 14.10 user that can verify?

Or if an admin type can walk me through the commands to dump what was 
installed from where....
