issues w/ UEMIS & SubSurface?

I upgraded my PC to Win 7 32 bit and have upgraded my subsurface to subsurface-4.2-32bit-Qt4.exe.  I have installed it and it recognizes my computer but will not download from it.  Error message is:

Short write to req.txt file
Is the Uemis Zurich plugged in correctly?


How do I resolve this issue?
