Almost Beta 2 Cloud Storage fails

I really wonder why this is so slow for you. 
What does the traceroute to the server look like? What happens if you connect from a browser to the html view?
Also no progress bar. You should get one once data comes back from the server. 
Can you put debug output in the callback function?
