no that I have contributed anything so far for the mobile version, but of course I have my opinions on things. I assume we are talking about features of the graphical profile (visible or not).

If you don’t want complex preferences settings, then it seems there are three options: as in the desktop or always on or always off.

If we are running on a phone, screen estate might be an issue, so “everything always on” might not be the ideal solution. But (at least for small screens) we could turn on things that do not occupy additional space, as the ceilings and the cylinder pressures as opposed to the partial pressure graphs.

OTOH, what is the mobile application really supposed to be: A quick way to have a look at your list of dives or a possibility to show it to others on a trip? Or is it really about being able to analyze your dives, e.g. in the spare time on a boat? The first option would speak for fewer features and cleaner screens while the second for the more complete version.

I don’t think we have to worry about stuff being untestable since all this code is shared with he desktop application and is tested there. The only question is if we want to fix the settings or give the user a way to influence them (e.g. via setting them on the desktop).

My personal choice is always in favour of richer features so I would be pro settings sharing with desktop and if that is not what happening turning on as many features of the profile as possible as long as the view does not get obstructed but I know there are other opinions.

Best
Robert
