It is BLE only, for sure.
Are there any "Bluetooth scanning" apps for iOS?
I know that the Perdix is a bit hard to pair with - especially if it had been
paired with another device before. Getting it to talk to Mac after you used
it with an Android device can be an exercise in frustration...

I'm back home, I hope I'll have a moment to play with this tomorrow and
see if it sees any of my BLE dive computers (I have three).
