More testing:
Disabling auto cloud sync seems to get all functionality back. So i see no
create new trip with auto sync enabled (first time itvworked after install
ov version I was on auto sync disabled as app starts by default)
Also modifications get saved in no auto sync
In auto sync mode no new trip can be created and modifications not saved
even with app switching
